Going back to my hundred Mars Society members example ... about 30 or 35 of the people would want to skip a return to the Moon this is not almost half (about 5 or 10 would want some other thing...example: an asteroid mission).
But, you expect what? Ninety-nine people out of a hundred in a society called the Mars Society to want a return to the Moon because there exists a non plan which is vastly underfunded and so far undefined.
So at Moon conferences do those who want industrial development over government exploration fight those who favor science missions?
