When I was younger, the Left spent a lot of time selling the idea that "the rich don't pay taxes." Far too many people still believe that.

Now it's become widely known that the wealthy in this country pay the vast majority of the taxes, something that should have been obvious in a country with a progressive tax system. Heck, they'd pay most of the taxes with a straight flat tax. They have most of the money. It's simple math.

So now the Left has to putter around with statistics like "percent of income," hoping that the smooth brains of their readers will somehow see 25 percent of $20 million dollars as a smaller number than 30 percent of $400,000. Even assuming those percentages were correct, which they aren't.

The numbers don't add up, Bowser. Do them yourself.

It's been a long time since the Revolution failed. When will they outgrow "eat the rich?"
