Hi All
Fascinating stuff from the BBC. The metabolism of the mice slowed by 90% and their core temperature dropped to 11 degrees C. Apparently the gas is just hydrogen sulphide at 80 ppm in air - so that's how Buck Rogers went into suspended animation! In the 1929 comics not the movie/series. He fell into an old mineshaft and awoke years later.
