The title has an exact meaning.

Unless you're living in a yurt on the tundra, I assume you are getting all the bad news on television and in newspapers, with large headlines, photos, body counts, detailed and loving descriptions of bombings, eager recitals of political difficulties, and sad musings by news writers about how it's all going wrong.

The New York Times, Washington Post, and others would give ten years of their lives to see this war lost just like VietNam. Tens of millions of people condemned to civil war or totalitarian rule again would be a small price to pay to see the hated George Bush take it in the chops. As for what would happen if Iraq succeeds? Their brains can't even go there.

I post this for balance, as the writer of the piece has often said himself. These are also facts. Take it or leave it. I don't care.
