If oil is really getting harder to come by, then the price of gas SHOULD be going up. That's what's going to get people to conserve. Car companies building mostly SUVs are taking it in the shorts, and that's exactly how it's supposed to work. But no doubt our glorious leaders are going to whistle up some goddam subsidy for them like they did for Chrysler.

Who's forcing you to buy a European car? I have one, a fat-assed Eurovan, and paid through the nose for it, because it filled my needs. It's got about 167,000 miles on it right now.

For that matter, nobody's forcing you to live in Florida, either.

Oh yeah. There'd be no drug problem in Florida if the stock market was at 20,000 and the dollar was blowing the euro away.
