Rechargeable batteries

What is the best kind (Li, NiH, NiCd) of battery in terms of power to weight ratio and number of cycles?

Where can high quality batteries be obtained at a good price.

I am looking for 12 volt, 15 amp*hr batteries for an electric lawnmower.
