basically conservative folks like me who became disgusted by the VNW and our continued conduct of the war with no winning strategy.

I believe that the only way you fight long protracted wars is in defense of your own soil. If we choose to involve ourselves in foreign wars we should damn well have a plan for success like GWI or the Baltic Air War.

There is no similarity in the VNW and GWII but the cost in lives and treasure in Iraq seems to be too high regardless of the outcome.

I will accept the decisions of our leaders but they obviously miscalculated the force necessary to pacify Iraq and they should be accountable.
