I KNEW that Tom would try and swing the Labour victory in the election here to be some sort of mandate from the British people as support for the war.

Well Tom - support maybe - but support from only 36.3% of the population. 63.7% of the nation voted against Blair. Nearly 2/3rds. Not only that, but the Labour majority is considerably reduced from the last election. The message is VERY clear from this country regarding the war - and it is NOT the message you are pretending it is. Stop trying to pretend - as you know you are trying to - that a 36.3% vote is 'support' or a 'mandate' for the war. It is not.
