Space/Science » in reply to Phoebe a KB object captured by Saturn

Too many interesting things in the Saturn system

Once upon a time, someone might have incorrectly said the only interesting thing in the Saturn system was Titan. Now we find out that Phoebe maybe a Kuiper belt object. Iapetus has that weird ridge on it that may have been formed by the rings or by ET (my scewball hope). Enceladus might have a watery mantle like Jupiter's Europa. Then there's the rings of Saturn which are endlessly fascinating. Ironically one thing that might be boring in the Saturn system is Saturn itself (as an interesting gas giant, Jupiter is a tough act to follow).

Too bad it's so expensive to get anything into the Saturn system. At least it'll be a long time before Cassini craps out.
