Mike Griffin maybe the Space Program's Messiah

After 8 years of Dan Goldin's egregious mismanagement and the full-cost accounting of Sean O'keefe, the Space Program was in a flat spin and heading towards high speed surface impact. All hope had been lost and many of the brightest guys were bailing out. Then at the last possible moment, MIke Griffin appears offering the hope that maybe the Space Program can be saved.

Mike Griffin is the Messiah. He's saying and doing all the right things. Unfortunately there's the $60,000 question: Is NASA too far gone to be saved? Griffin is like the physician confronted with a paitent having severe gangrene. Dr. Griffin can saw off the paitent's arms and legs while administering lots of antibiotics but then what happens next? If Dr. Griffin is successful, there will be this living torso with a head on it that is only capable of conversation. What a tragedy that Griffin was not made NASA's administrator ten years ago when there was still something left to save!!
