I thought the CGI additions to the special editions cinematically released few years back made them very inconsistent visually. You'd see old-school SFX techniques used for laser bolts, for example, and then suddenly some slick, shiny, animated 100% CGI sequence. A bit jarring and disappointing. There were some composited scenes where the lighting and shading for each model was still obviously inconsistent, e.g. when the TIE fighter chases the Millennium Falcon through a narrowing asteroid canyon and then explodes in Empire Strikes Back.
Oh, I'm sure your kids will hardly need a team of oxen to drag you to Star Wars again when it's rereleased in 3D or "dimensionalized" in a few years. Really interesting technology and company. Website sucks, though.

Then there'll be the "Special Editions" in a few years.
