I watched the show and found the CGI implementation of Barlowe's Darwin IV aliens very enjoyable. I would have preferred less vacuous commentary from irrelevant experts like Kaiku who added nothing, in place of a few more details on the plants, animals and plantimals. I thought that the probes design and AI approach were ingenuous, although I'd never send all the probes to the same landing site. Really short shrift on the intriguing Eosapiens at the end. The website has more detail for the SF obsessed. Again, it's really refreshing to see hard SF on TV, usually it's pure fantasy dressed up with faux space ships.
