OK so it's gotta be strange for someone like me to bitch about the Republican party since I was never a member but since I voted for Bush, I have some rights here...

This guy cites Jane's Law "Jane's Law: "The devotees of the party in power are smug and arrogant. The devotees of the party out of power are insane." (Jane Gualt - a smart 6' tall blogger babe on economics issue)

He says, "Democrats should not take this as a sign that things are turning their way, because the poll shows disgust at them as well. But, as a life-long Republican, I have never been as disgusted with my party as I am right now, and I would have a hard time voting for the national Republican party right now."

And then he lists this checklist of things recently abandoned by the Republican party including..."

Federalism- nope, don't need it.

Limited Government- nah- useless.

Fiscal Responsibility- forget it- outdated.

Tradition?- Whatever, loserboy.

Fair play?- For credit card companies, not for you.

State's rights- a quaint idea.

Separation of Church and State- Fuhgeddaboutit!

Limiting entitlement programs- nonsense!

Compassionate conservatism- meaningless buzzwords
