How about all the belts?
My view is, if they can make it all the way to our solar system, why can't they utilize both comet belts and the planetoid zones?
If anything, the inner belts would be closer to Earth (asuming that is why they are here, to study us and our currently only-occupied planet) and their contents would not be so spread out as they likely are in the Oort Cloud.
