Such 'roids should exist, but finding them will be tough. I reckon a whole bunch of light-weight ion-propelled semi-autonomous lurkers moving through the denser parts of the inner belt and just scanning, scanning for radioactives and valuable elements. They're autonomous enough to only need to contact Earth when something interesting is found and cheap enough to make and launch in the dozens.
