Khan helped NK, not other way around

Here you're simply wrong -- the nuclear transfer was *from* Pakistan *to* North Korea. In particular, the Koreans got their uranium enrichment technology from the Paks (Khan sent them centrifuges).

I have yet to see *anyone* suggest that CHina significantly helped Korea with it's nuclear program. The Chinese don't want the Japanese or South Koreans to go nuclear, and they don't want NK to provoke US intervention, so they've been very cool towards the idea of a North Korean bomb.

What went from Korea to Pakistan in exchange was missile technology.

Here's a link to a Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists summary, which you can dismiss as liberal arms controllers if you like, but if you'l google "khan" and "north korea" you'll find plenty about him sending nuke tech to Korea from both right and left leaning news sources.

Thanks for the remedial lessons on Pakistani politics and the NPT. Next time I teach a class on one of those subject I'll have to have you guest lecture for me.
