Last night, after the 4th of July fireworks were over, I started hearing celebratory gunfire, more than I've ever heard before. It went on uninterrupted til midnight, when I turned in. All sorts of stuff too, shotguns, rifle fire, semi-auto rifle fire, and even a few bursts of full auto. Lots of pistol, too, big and small bore.
I went shopping for .45 ACP a couple of months ago and the discount outlets were all out, but I had no trouble picking up a couple of boxes of an off-brand FMJ at my local gunshop--for a premium price.
I forgot to check up on the availability of .22 WMR, but I have a couple of hundred rounds of that, that should get me through the Revolution.
The good new is that gas is cheap, $3.59 for Regular at the Mobil on the corner.
