I wouldn't be at all sorry to see a creep like Terry busted for conspiracy charges if attacks on clinics and such could be laid at his doorstep. But then, he's a citizen of the U.S., not representing any other nation, and is subject to legal, not military solutions. Same would be true if he lived in France, Germany, England, or any other country with a government that would certainly oppose his actions. Even the Vatican would not support him targeting doctors and clinics for destruction.

Now, what if Terry was based in another country, comprised of Christian fundamentalist radicals, whose government actively supported and defended him, (there isn't one, but let's invent one for the sake of the argument. Call it Matherland.) And what if he was sneaking Matherites into our country and killing off abortion doctors and blowing up clinics by the dozens?

Now what? We are no longer in a realm where the cops are the solution.

Our life would have been a hell of a lot easier if the government of Afghanistan had hauled bin Laden and his goons in for trial and/or extradition instead of protecting and supporting him.
