I trust Abizaid's take vs Cheney, who is a politician. That being said, MY preference is to address the entire ME problem so more terrorists coming in is part of the solution, not part of the problem. I'll agree that the Bush admin is not frank about their real goals in the ME. If I read their actions correctly, I support those goals - regieme change throughout the ME. We have a window of opportunity to do it now. Far more difficult if we take the easy way out and ease away soon. Bush has said that the WOT will take a long time and much of what happens will not be readily apparent.
