Great spint, Tom: How much Palestinian land did Israel grab today?

Great spin, Tom. It leaves anyone opposed to further Israeli land grabs defending themsleves against the charges that they are Marxist, Maoist,
fascist, anti-capitalist, anti-US. Here in the US it should waste plenty of their time avoiding talking about the only key Mideast issue, which is Israel's current expansionist policies.

The plain facts are that fanatical Islamic attacks on many in Europe have led to strong anti-emigration sentiments and an almost reduction in tolerance for Islamic lifestyles, including scarves, chadors, and the use of Arabic. BUT, and this is an important BUT, there is also nearly no support there or for that matter anywhere else on this planet for Israel's expansion.

Israel is viewed nearly everywhere else as the US's very own little North Korea, and its probably just a matter of time befoere other nations fully invoke international law. I wish W. Bush the best of luck in trying to bring the Israeli-Palestinian conflict to a peaceful conclusion, but I suspect that what will happen instead is that as he applies any pressure on Israel he will be attacked, and there is ample historical precedent for this.

That spin will work here in the US for a bit, but it will only deepen the feeling in the rest of the world that the US has gone crazy.

"The groups are an odd collection, made up largely of Marxists and Maoists, sprinkled with an array of Arab emigres and aging, old-school fascists, according to Lorenzo Vidino, an analyst on European terrorism based at The Investigative Project in Washington, D.C. "It's the old anticapitalist, anti-U.S., anti-Israel crowd," says Vidino, who has been to their gatherings, where he saw activists from Austria, Denmark, Germany, and Italy. "The glue that binds them together is anti-Americanism."
