Moderator Bob's probably enroute up the mountain about now, and since I'm getting email from Keith Cowing about this thread, time for me to step in.

Bob and I had agreed that thread that we saw at the time was a legitimate discussion of something Keith has published. It amounts to a review, and while some people are being critical of KC, it hadn't become a flame until Chris posted one last message, pushing it over the top into flaming. I sent an invitation to Keith to come participate before I read that message, and so Keith's response was predictably angry.

I decided to surgically remove the one message rather than move the entire thread to Flame. If Keith can stay within the bounds of civility established by the mild-mannered tone of the thread so far, then everything will be fine.

Criticism is not flaming. The free choice to publish material in public and to be a publisher means accepting criticism and dealing with it like an adult.
