Thanks for the rover movs - it is strange that JPL did not create some of these for themselves
Just out of curiousity, what packages/platforms are you using? Any experience with Imovie?
I would think that color versions of the rover movs should be barely larger than the current greyscale ones, due to the efficiency of that codec's compression algorithms.
Can movs be easily converted into the DVD codec by using IDvD? I would imagine that the result would preserve the significant image loss of the movs, but at least you could play them on any DvD player.
As fo rme, I find myself one full generation behind the times. Everyone is going into desktop video, while I am just entering into desktop publishing by learning Photoshop and InDesgin. Very powerful pakcages indeed, but so powerful that they're awkward to use for simpler tasks. Instructions and help are tool oriented rather than task oriented, so its very hard to find the technique you need. Tool controls are scattered everywhere - I suppose that with experience one gets used to Adobe's design philosophy, but it appears to be a very steep leaning curve

Thanks much - Didn't hurt to ask
