He is a good film maker but a lousy publicist.
Signs was okay in a quirkey way. I am impressed that my 9 year old grandson still considers it the scariest movie he has ever seen. :)
Imo The Village was better, in fact excellent. The only major letdown was Adrien Brody's ridiculous performance as the halfwit. Unfortunately the film was trashed by being promoted as a supernatural film rather than a psychological thriller. The hokey promo on the scifi channel actually convinced me not to see it in theatre.
MNS needs to forget about wrapping himself in all the phoney baloney, metaphysical bs.
