Not again...please.
The vortical spin of an object is a side effect of coherency and velocity. All energy travels with a vortical motion and the more energy moved, the faster the observed rotation.
is complete gibberish, I had two choices: Delete it or Refute it, This time I chose the latter... next time I will probably choose the former... This is NOT a board to post your pseudoscience fantasies on...
What part was so difficult for you to understand RL? The universe, the galaxies, the stars, the planets and everything on them are all rotating.
Mass and energy are interchangeable so we have energy with angulur momentum (aka vortical spin).
Motion is described using displacement, time and acceleration. acceleration is defined as the change in velocity. Velocity is the result of forces. Forces often induce torque. Torques induce rotational (aka vortical) motion.
So velocity and its force often induce torque in an object. The greater the velocity, the greater the torque or rotation. I threw the term coherency in there because it is the regulator of the torque. Forces which are perpendicular to the torque influence ( in many cases this influence is either centripetal force, centrifugal force or coriolis force) of an object in motion induce the most torque and therefore produce the most rotation. As the force moves away from a perpendicular orientation - the torque diminishes and so does the rotation.
Understand it now? That is the long drawn out way of saying:
The vortical spin of an object is a side effect of coherency and velocity. All energy travels with a vortical motion and the more energy moved, the faster the observed rotation.
A simple example would be hitting a golf ball. At rest its angular momentum is 0. When hit the energy transfer induces torque based upon centrifugal, centripetal and coriolis forces. The vortical spin is caused by torque. The more energy applied/transferred the greater the torque and the faster the spin.
And my other remark:
The spinning aids in keeping a true trajectory in an atmosphere by reducing friction and therefore minimizes drift.
Here I was adressing basic ballistics. A rifled barrel induces more spin on the bullet and it keeps it from drifting. The spin reduces turbulence (by balancing the flow of air around the bullet) and resists tumbling. You mention:
this gives it stability and keeps the bullet from tumbling no matter if there is an atmosphere or not...
If there were no atmosphere there would be no need to rifle the barrel. The atmosphere is the cause of the tumble and drift. Shoot a bullet in deep space and any induced angular momentum will not aid in maintaining trajectory.
So when you write stuff like this...
is complete gibberish, I had two choices: Delete it or Refute it, This time I chose the latter... next time I will probably choose the former... This is NOT a board to post your pseudoscience fantasies on...I am once again reminded of why you were not my choice for moderator of this board. This entire post has been another exercise in futility. Maybe some other posters will get some benefit out of the technical descriptions, but I think many of them got it the first time around.
If I start spouting unsubstantiated theory or conjecture I will make a clear notation/disclaimer at the top of my post so it will save you the trouble of trying to refute 'pseudoscience' that isn't.
