If you got kids who are hot for computing, it makes a lot of sense to get their own machine. Unless they're into hot gaming, you can get a perfectly workable PC for a few hundred bucks. I do NOT share my primary machine with anyone.
"A few hundred bucks"
Not a problem, if you have a few hundred bucks to spare. I don't, was planning on building a new box, complete with case mods. But, as often the case, cash flow isn't there. I'd budgeted $500.00 toward the project over four months, then real life intervened, ergo, end of new box.
I have a choice, let them use it, and deal with the problems it causes, or lock the system down.
I chose to allow them to use it.
