The war against human ignorance

Poverty.
Crime.
Disease.
Suffering.
War.

Human ignorance lies at the root of all of these blights.

This forces us to ask some tough questions:

Is ignorance inherited?
Is it hopeless for some folks?
Or is ignorance like obesity - the byproduct of laziness and indulgence?
Are their racial/cultural factors that promote human ignorance?
Can any educational system yet devised treat and make obsolete human ignorance? If not, what is the prognosis for a planet where the ignorant outbreed the intelligent?
Should tyranny be tolerated anywhere on earth?
Is "national sovereignity" a cancer that keeps the body politic sick?
Is religion an "opiate" of the ignorant and do practicioners of religion need special educational assistance?

Is freedom more valuable than wisdom?
Is freedom only with merit when it is coupled with intelligent leadership?
Does anarchy provide true freedom?
If true freedom is undesirable then isn't it a false virtue?
If freedom is inferior to wisdom, yet wisdom dictates pacifist viewpoints, what preserves wisdom in the face of violent ignorance?

Is it a democratic, republic superpower's responsibility to weed out tyranny?

Is equality truly desirable?
Is equality a false virtue and destructive to mankind?
If equality is a false virtue than should the best government abstain in the perpetuation of equality that is destructive to the national good?

Is "controlled anarchy" preferable to state-dictated equality or inequality?

If half the governments of the world are partially/fully theocracy influenced and those tend to be the most violent and destructive - is it time for a science based government?

Compulsory education already exists, but is it enough?
Should educational requirements be raised dramatically?
If so, how much? Mandatory college? Mandatory post-doctoral level?

Should a global educational standard be established in all nations?
Should nations who fail to meet these standards be forced to comply or face sanctions or possible military intervention.

Is induced ignorance a crime against humanity?

Is it a basic human right to be smart?

Love to hear some opinions about these things from all sides of the aisle and from all corners of the globe.
