For some reason, "F**k" in a newspaper or other written material is not officially interpreted as an obscenity, even though the word that appears in the mind of the reader when they see it is absolutely identical to what appears if the word is actually spelled out. I mean, you don't look at that and think "Fstar-startk", do you?
