I have always been sickened by the inefficiency of the military but in the end they seem to wind up with an arguable success.
For years I was depressed by the cost of the M1A Tank. It didn't work would never work but in the end it worked.
We have been pouring money into the Osprey for over 2 decades and supposedly it was used successfully in Iraq sorties. They say it is deployed in Afghanistan since 2009 and has been used in combat with success and no losses. The concept is brilliant, the way we have gone about it is ridiculous.
True free enterprise should punish our military contractors for cost overruns and stupidity.
