I worked in the defense industry for 8 years, and I will be the first to admit I was grossly overpaid for what I did. I lost my job after the Soviet surrender that ended the Cold War. BTW, my title was "software engineer", not "Machinist or Aerospace Worker". I worked in the office where all the Republicans are. Those other guys are all Union, and they work hard for their money.
After I left defense contracting, doing essentially the same kind of work for county government, my salary dropped to 40% of what it had been. (Yeah, I became one of those grossly overpaid and lavishly benefitted municipal employees you guys are always whining about.) Contrary to Republican propaganda, the public bureacracies can't come close to matching private corporate salaries and benefits--except maybe for the management weenies they recruit from the business sector. Those guys always look out for themselves, and the members of their social and economic class.
So tell me, what kind of Libertarian bullshit myth are you trying to propagate now? That defense workers are grossly overpaid? Or just the ones that work on the shop floor? That they are all lefties? Or just that everything the class Democrat utters must be immediately challenged lest he brainwash the innocent and dimwitted denizens of the Habitable Zone and enlist them in the Yo Mama Obama Lama-lama-ding-dong Statist Conspiracy?
Have a nice day.
