Ignore the obvious thread typo: spacve.
(1) Mr Rutan's Prometheus has successfully carried out a 'captive-carry' test-flight with the attached X-37.
Hmmm...But what will X-37 be used for?...It's not that 'hush-hush' a project, is it?
(2) It's been announced that Great Britain's X-Prize entrant, Starchaser Inc., will fire up its British-built Churchill rocket-motor at the October X-Prize cup exhibition in New Mexico.
WOOPEEE!... :(>
That's rocket motor, folks, not rocketship! Only 6000Ibs thrust,
it will be static-fired...as if that hasn't been done already.
Sorry to sound so cynical.
My opinion: Leave the 100km altitude suborbital space-tourist
niche to Virgin Galactic and Scaled Composites. Starchaser, Inc...
should convert its Churchill rocket-motors into clustered engines
to boast money-making small payloads into orbit.
And then persue work on a much more powerful British-built rocket motor
to send a small manned craft [with an astronaut-tourist] into orbit,
IMHO.
Jake.

Two more [space] tidbits to add.
