Just don't freak out when they say, "No YOU shut up, we're going to keep singing this until you pay attention to the fact that you don't have total control over your own mind!"

Consciousness is much like using a cordless phone in a busy neighborhood. You have static sometimes. Other times there are some pranksters listening in, while others like repeating songs they've heard endlessly on others folks receivers until the person notices they're not completely on a secure line. It gives them a little thrill.

Folks who daydream a lot are also often receiving faux signals.

It's an amazingly common happening, like kids letting air out of tires. Once you ignore them they move on to someone else with a perfect rendition of the Brady Bunch theme.
