Space/Science » in reply to How can ice persist on in outer space dust clouds?

Easier to read? (if it works)

Goff Gratch equation (considered the most accurate over the entire range used)
Log10(P) = -9.09718 (273.16/T - 1) - 3.56654 Log10(273.16/ T) + 0.876793 (1 - T/ 273.16) + Log10(6.1071)
with T in [K] and P in [hPa]
1 hectopascal [hPa] = 100 Pa = 1 mbar
Here are some typical values of the log10( vapor pressure of ice) at very low temperatures using the Goff Gratch equation. This is the log10 of the pressure, not the pressure itself:
T in kelvins log10(Pressure) in hPa (1 hectopascal [hPa] = 100 Pa = 1 mbar )

Note that not until 100 kelvins is the pressure significant.
