Most new businesses fail.
This has been true for many, many years. I've lost count of the ones I've been involved in the start of. I think it's either three or four, but I'd have to sit and think about it.
Somebody starts a business, puts backbreaking work into it, fails, starts another, fails, and years later, finally succeeds and gets rich. This is what's known as "winning life's lottery."
