Grow up and deal with reasoned explanations rather than handwaving them away as propaganda just as you do data that's inconvenient.
I have no doubt you are a dedicated space enthusiast. When I first read your posts back at MSNBC I was thrilled to see the younger generation could produce such enthusiasm so long after the glory days of Apollo. I don't know where you picked up your set of blinders Ken, but they do you and your goals a great disservice. It's sad that some of the bitterest feuds about space are actually between space fans and that people can dismiss others views as cultists without even listenting or responding to technical arguments.
The idea that the Moon is easier than Mars is so "obvious" that even Zubrin's 4 year old daughter suggested it to her dad at the Mars Society's founding convention. It takes some education and mathematical ability to understand why that's not really the case. Nothing will ever change the fact that it will take less time to reach the Moon and for activities that truly need that the Moon will always be superior (ie quick vacations). Unfortunately some people over generalize.
