In my career I have found that anyone in tech who does not say that with a somber face is either
1) An Intolerable jackhole who will do anything he can politically to make the inevitable system flaws be "Not His Fault". IE, he knows that he does not know everything, but will make it his job (literally) to convince higher-ups that he does.
2) An Idiot who actually thinks he is THE reference and touchstone of knowledge, who will engineer stupidity into the system and who you will not be able to reason with

I suppose there are Uber Gurus out there (Bloch, The Three, etc), but chances are you won't be working with them unless you are one of them.

So yeah, I still think you prolly got good kung-fu. At least you have been able to routinely reverse-engineer roberts code.
