I get it, reminds me of the FarSide cartoon about what the dog hears compared to what is said to it.
C# is a new language and is not C++. It's an evolution of it, and might be called "C+++".
The balance between "privacy and technical prowess" is always an uneasy one, because advanced technology can be used both to enhance privacy and undermine it. FireFox has some good privacy protections, but on the other hand it exposes a lot of ways to get in and potentially circumvent the protections. The jury's still out on whether the balance favors privacy/security in FireFox. We'll have a better idea when it captures the same market share as IE and gets just as much attention from hackers.
Transparency works--I've made it a pillar of the formal guidelines for moderators. What the people who fear transparency just don't get is the enhanced (social) security you enjoy when people know what you're up to and support it. For a politician it would be like having the citizenry watching your back all the time. It's beyond me why politicians like Nixon and GWBush think they gain from secretiveness.
