You can measure spin desire by the inclusion of items the sunni's agreed with. Do you recall any sunni's objecting to the islamic law issue? However, it is reasonable to ask if the push is a political move. It is also reasonable to consider it as trying to get people to look at their long term interests and the big picture rather than their parochial views. This process looked very much like a deadend stalemate. What would you do in such a situation? Focusing only on one potential explanation without any remote comment on the other is major spin.
