It is monumentally irritating when you insist on excusing Bush failure by changing the subject....

Perhaps there is a good reason, like you suffer from ADHD or something? The post had to do with the Poverty level..not Al Gore or the unemployment figures, or the price of tea in China.

Fact: for the fourth STAIGHT year we have had an INCREASE in the government's annual poverty measure. Additionally, the number of people without health insurance rose by 800,000 to 45.8 million Americans without any heallth insurance.

The US poverty rate rose to 12.7% of the total population. During the Bush administration poverty has increased from 32.9 million in 2001 to 35.8 million. And every year Bush has been in office the number of poor people in the US has increased. It would appear this is consistent with the Republican administrations where the rich get richer and the poor get poorer.

In point of fact, the last decline in poverty was in 2000. You might remember, this was during the Clinton administration? Since then Bush has managed to add five and 1/2 million people to the poverty roles.

This really isn't something to pat yourself on the back about.
