Does someone want to clue the Democratic Party in?
Cindy Sheehan's fifteen minutes were up quite some time ago.
Sheehan has meetings scheduled with Representatives Marilyn Musgrave, Dave Reichert, Jeb Bradley, and Henry Waxman and with Senators John McCain, Hillary Clinton, and Edward Kennedy.
John McCain? Since when does he try to hop onto a Democratic bandwagon?
And in case you were wondering where this is all coming from:
Sheehan and her group will march in an anti-war rally Saturday organized by the Act Now to Stop War and End Racism (ANSWER) coalition.
The coalition, which represents hundreds of small and medium-sized groups from across the country, has organized bus rides for protesters from far away cities.
The anti-war demo "will be making a direct and vivid connection between Bush's war in Iraq and its inability and refusal to meet human needs as evidenced by the government's incompetent and criminal handling of the crisis in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina," ANSWER organizers said in a statement.
Speakers at the Saturday rally are scheduled to include outspoken British MP George Galloway, former US attorney general Ramsey Clark -- a regular at anti-war rallies -- and former presidential candidates Al Sharpton and Ralph Nader.
