Next flight to the ISS

Mc Arthur, Tokarev and Olsen (the 3rd paying tourist) will launch saturday morning early (05:54 AM Europe time) for the ISS!

One thing I'm wondering: plenty of KSC launched satellites are meant for GEO and yet, there's a 28 degrees difference between the equator and Cape Canaveral.
The Moon can find itself at 23°+ or - 5° from the equator (or sometimes at 28 degrees from the equator). The ISS is at 51 degrees which is 23 degrees above the 28 degrees the Moon can find itself on. So, I wonder if it's that difficult to get to the Moon from ISS' orbit compared to the equator from the KSC (23 degrees difference is less than 28 degrees difference).
