re: Bushes new pick- The judicial version of Mike Brown
She is considered very bright, a ground breaker, a person of strong ethics, was suggested by Democratic leader Harry Reid, and a good friend of the Bush camp according to NPR. Feel free to guess which qualities were most important. Not a Michael Brown repeat (totally unqualified) IMO, but questions of cronyism and lack of appropriate experience are obviously legit. However, I prefer to look on this as a stroke of luck that we didn't' get a raving conservative nominated. Bush's currrent political weakness was also noted.
