I wouldn't worry.
Makes sense to me they want to expand business in the West, and the surest way to mess that up would be to load something into their updates which was at all even suspicious.
No one would ever trust them again.
As far as that goes, we've got enough troubles with our own folks and worms, viruses and spyware.
