Taurids
Have seen a number of remarkable meteors over the last few evenings, especially last night and tonight.
Very bright, long contrails with some material shedding, almost horizontal trajectory, and, well,...very slow for a meteor. The first one I saw, I thought “space junk”. After about 45 minutes, saw a couple more from the same radian. So much for that idea.
Did a bit of Googling, and seems like they must be Taurids. Going back out now to watch for more.
