I believe there are plans for lunar landers in the polar regions for around the 2009-2012 timeframe but can't remember the missions or links.

I take it Lunar Propector's crash landing (with Gene Shoemaker's ashes onboard) in the Lunar South Pole doesn't count as the last. :-(
