Mike Miller, a Democrat, once called Steele an "Uncle Tom" in a quote published in 2001, although Miller later said it was taken out of context.

That same article also states that recently his photo was altered with the title "Simple Sambo wants to move to the big house."

Democrats also allegedly obtained his credit report illegally.

BALTIMORE -- Federal prosecutors have opened an inquiry into allegations that two Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee employees illegally tapped into Lt. Gov. Michael Steele's credit history.

WBAL-TV 11 News reporter David Collins reported the workers obtained the report in July while executing opposition research on the lieutenant governor.

Doesn't exactly sound like they're taking the high road to me. But then, maybe you don't have a problem with racial slurs and illegal campaign activity.
