The same people who almost drove the entire American economy into oblivion, lost billions and billions, gave themselves massive bonuses. Paid for by the American taxpayer.
And it was tolerated because they were necessary, needed, important.
And yet when a worker somewhere wants a wage they could live upon they are ridiculed. Conservatives think it's greed, unreasonable and irresponsible.
I frankly don't understand the priorities here. I think someone who gives their time are worth a living wage or the job shouldn't be done. And someone who gives their time is NOT worth a million dollar bonus especially for losing money, let along a $60 million bonus.
Where was the outrage there? If one had to spend $60 million should it be spent upon an executive who lost money or a group of people who produce, actually produce something?
