Is it just me?
Why not just land on the rock and use your ion engine to "push" the rock finstead of using a gravity tether to "pull" the rock?
Won't the spacecraft need to expend the same amount of energy either way?
Help...What am I missing? Are they doing this just to avoid the object's rotation? If so, would the extra mass for the spacecraft really be worth it?
