The Estes 3-stage Comanche Three boasts a "half mile" altitude. I don't think Estes makes anything that will hit 6,000 feet. Not to mention the idiocy of launching a valuable model over the ocean.

I heard this damn story on the radio this morning with my own ears. The talk show hosts went nuts about it. Now? Nothing. I have never seen something drop so completely off the radar (no pun intended.) Either ABC News blew it somehow, or...what? Anybody else come up with some hard references on this?
