Pakistan gov't is very leery of publically acknowledging US role
The Paki govt's support and collaboration with the US in the war on (Islamic) terrorism is highly unpopular among the majority of the country's ignorant, backwards population...which happens to be nearly 100% Muslim. No surprise that their government prefers the fiction that a mysterious explosion somehow caused this terrorist's death.
