If God means having special powers humans don't have and knowing things humans don't know, sure there are LOTS of Gods! Heck, any alien with a culture more technologically and spiritually advanced than ours would qualify.
If God means an ALL-knowing and ALL-seeing and ALL powerful being then you are taking about a being which is an impossibility in an infinite universe. Infinity demands new knowledge, new places and new things being formed each moment. The continuity of energy pretty much knocks the finite universe out of contention.
Only in a finite universe can such a God exist. In an infinite universe, only the sum of all things can be equated to "God" and these, by default, must be infinitely diverse and not contained within a single being.
And if the universe were finite, such an ALL-knowing God would not be very impressive. Theoretically, any being could then attain such finite knowledge and equal such a God's knowledge and his ability to influence, control and mold the universe around him. Such a God must be finite with limited powers.
I suspect there are a lot of 'gods' by the former definition and none of the latter, and what's more, I suspect none consider themselves such and indeed believe they are but intellectual neophytes. God nomenclature is for the aboriginals and elementals who have no concept at all of infinite evolution and for the religionists who use such material concepts to maintain a lucrative industry and powerbase while living in the flesh.
